OpenRouter

One key, many models: OpenRouter fronts models from many providers behind a single API. Mastery HQ uses it for extra model breadth beyond your installed CLIs.

Connecting

Section titled “Connecting”
  1. Sign up at openrouter.ai and create an API key.
  2. Put OPENROUTER_API_KEY=… in your .env — the keys guide shows exactly where.
  3. That’s it: OpenRouter models are now selectable in agent windows (as an HTTP backend), the Model Council, and the Benchmark suite.

Good to know

  • What OpenRouter windows can and can’t do (no file access, no sessions, no attachments) is covered in OpenRouter models.
  • Billing is between you and OpenRouter, per model, on their pricing.
  • The key stays in your local .env.
