Sleep phrases and hands-free control

Hands-free flow in Mastery HQ: click the command bar’s 🎤 (or press mod+shift+v) to start listening, speak commands, and end the session by voice with a sleep phrase — no trip back to the keyboard.

The sleep phrases

Any of these, spoken as the whole utterance, turns listening off:

• go to sleep
• sleep
• shutoff / shut off
• listening off / listen off
• stop listening
• stop dictation
• mic off / microphone off

Matching is punctuation-insensitive and whole-utterance only, so the words passing through inside a longer command never kill the mic by accident.

Other ways to stop (and start)

• Esc while dictating — the keyboard “go to sleep”.
• Click the 🎤 again.
• mod+shift+v — the Voice dictation (start / stop listening) shortcut, rebindable in Settings → Shortcuts (see keyboard shortcuts).

Good to know

• Sleep phrases work in every dictation engine, including the realtime voice modes — the utterance is checked before it’s treated as a command.
